So my buddy Jeff came over last night, and he’s talking about how he’s a ticket broker on the side and how he’s been re-newing his season tickets for various teams, and he mentions an email he got from the Phoenix Suns, a team who he had owned a set of season tickets for a few years back. It contained an offer to purchase playoff tickets for the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury, and the going rate for a single ticket to game 1 of their first series was $3 (which includes a free t-shirt as well!).

Now this just reaffirms that the WNBA is a massive joke… The Mercury are defending champs, with one of the greatest female basketball players of all time leading their squad (Diana Taurasi) and they still have to charge $3 in order to try and get people to come to this game.

Why does this league exist again?
